A new report is predicting what the world will be like in 2045. Titled 'Global Strategic Trends,' the report sheds light on some of the new realities people could face in about 30 years. ;
The study was carried out by the United Kingdom's Ministry of Defense. It states that religion will continue to play a significant role in all societies, but there will be changes. ;
For example, according to the study, the presence of Evangelical Christians will increase in Latin America, Asia and the West, while Islam will continue to be the main religion in the Middle East and Africa.
China will be the country with the most Christians and Muslims.
It also predicts social unrest in cities worldwide. About 70 percent of the population will live in cities. If appropriate political models are not developed to respond to this increase, the report states that prominent suburbs will be largely managed by criminal gangs. ;
Bioethics on the other hand, is expected to undergo dramatic changes that could pose serious challenges. People will be able to alter their physical appearance, personality and psychological traits, with high tech implants. More invasive interventions will be allowed in embryos and there will even be machines that can read minds. ;
;
There will be more machines and robots to carry out every day work. This, will result in a loss of employment. The study also adds that world population in 2045 is estimated between 8.3 and 10.4 billion people. ;
