The Pope plans on visiting South Korea from August 13th to the 18th. His schedule will be pretty tight. After an 11 hour flight, the Pope will arrive in Seoul on Wednesday 13th. That day he will take the day off and get some rest. ;
On Thursday the 14th, he will meet with South Korea's president and with his delegation. He will also have a meeting with Korean Bishops. ;
The next day, on the 15th, he will take a helicopter to Deaejeon, where he will celebrate Mass in the city's stadium, which has a capacity for about 40,000 people. From there, he will head out to the Solmoe Sanctuary, which is one of the oldest in Korea. There he will have a vigil with thousands of youths, taking part in Asian World Youth Day.
He will celebrate Mass once again on Saturday 16th, to preside over the beatification of 124 martyrs, who were killed between 1791 and 1888, because of their faith. ;
That same day he will visit a center that helps the disabled, mentally ill and the homeless. In fact, his founders met with the Pope, last August in the Vatican. ;
On Sunday 17th, he will visit the Marian Sanctuary of Haemi to celebrate Mass and to officially close the 6th Asian World Youth Day. ;
Monday 18th, will be his last day in South Korea. After meeting with local religious leaders, the Pope will celebrate Mass and call for peace and reconciliation in the capital's Cathedral. That afternoon, at roughly 1 o clock, he will board a plane back to Rome. ;
