A chat among college students unleashed a tsunami, or better said, seven tsunamis. They're seven videos that talk about lives of hardship, but just as happy as any other.

TERESA GARCIA
Tsunamis of Life
'A friend of mine told me once that a woman pregnant with a child with disabilities had the right to an abortion. My heart shrank because I live with a special needs child, and this child is the one that teaches me to live, and teaches me that I want to enjoy life.

Teresa and her friends started talking, and they agreed that the best way to teach others was to lead by example. They decided to use real-life testimonies to talk about their lives' worth.

The group launched several videos with leading figures like Encarna, Jose Luis, Peter, Mari and Fran.

Jose Luis is a troubled child that was adopted. Thanks to new friends, he discovered another part of life. For her part, Encarna is 85 years old, but she is still full of energy.

'With time and knowledge, people at my school noticed that I started changing. I stopped seeing everything that had happened to me in the past, since I was a child, up until now, as bad.

'To say that you enjoy your life most when you're young is silly. You can enjoy it when you're young or when you're older.

CESAR SENRA
Tsunamis of Life
'What we want to convey with the Tsunamis of Life are actions that inspire hope. In our society, it's becoming harder for people to acknowledge, in certain situations, that their life is a gift. That's why we have these videos, which show that it's possible to be happy regardless of the circumstance or condition.

These stories are intended to show the joy that Peter, Maria or Fran have found, despite their individual situations.

'Our son Peter is 11 years old, almost 12. Peter suffers from a condition called spina bifida. We brought him home when he turned one year and two months old.

'Maria is 10 years old now. She has a congenital brain defect, which caused cerebral palsy.

'Despite my physical state, I'm very happy. I think that life is a gift.

It's often said that an image is worth a thousand words. With Tsunamis of Life, these images are used along with words to get their message across, the message that life is always worth it.
